Ian Brand has been General Manager of AmeriComm Direct Marketing, Virginia since 1996. He has been responsible for the P&L for the Norfolk facility. Since then, the division has experienced consistent revenue and OP trends with a 20% increase in OP levels versus 1996. (178% increase versus 1995 OP results). The Norfolk Presort Department was expanded to become the largest in Tidewater serving the major Plastic Card producer First Data Corporation. From 1972 to 1978, Mr. Brand began his career with Codman & Shurtleff, a division of Johnson & Johnson, Ltd. He became Product Manager responsible for profitability and market share of Neurosurgery, Cardiovascular, Ophthalmology, and Orthopedic instruments. Mr. Brand has been involved in many aspects of the direct mail business over the past 20 years. He has experienced full service opportunities as: General Manager, Southam Direct Marketing, responsible for Toronto and Montreal facilities - negotiated company acquisition and new product acquisitions; President, Datamark Response Group, database management and direct marketing for financial, fundraising and publishers for Canadian and U.S. clients; Vice President, SDMS Communications, Ltd. for U.S. and Canadian Operations. Mr. Brand has been involved in and served on the boards of various Direct Marketing Associations: President, Toronto Direct Marketing Association (1989-1991); Vice President, Toronto Direct Marketing Association (1988-1989); and President, Canadian List Owners Association (1986-1988). Mr. Brand is a graduate of Trent University (Sociology) and Guelph University (Agricultural Business) in Ontario, Canada. |
